A science graduate from Agra University and a diploma holder from Film Institute of India. (Now FTII) Pune. Specialising in Motion Picture Photography.

After gaining experience with top film makers like Satyajit Ray and cinematographers worked with In TV commercials for American TV for the Tea Board of India, Kolkata moved to Mumbai, where he shot hundreds of documentary films, and about 35 feature films and corporate films as a D.O.P

Also has worked with Top film makers like Ismail Merchant. Winner of several OSCAR awards.
